Our Warranty Coverage
SIX-MONTH LABOR WARRANTY – CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED EQUIPMENT
Bishop Brothers Air Conditioning warrants its installation workmanship for six (6) months from the date of substantial completion. If a problem is confirmed to have been caused by our installation workmanship, we will correct the covered work without an additional labor charge.
The customer acknowledges that all customer-supplied equipment was selected and purchased by the customer. Bishop Brothers Air Conditioning does not warrant the equipment, parts, sizing, matching, compatibility, condition, performance, efficiency, manufacturer warranty eligibility, or availability of replacement parts.
This warranty does not cover equipment or part failures; manufacturer or shipping defects; incorrect, damaged, incomplete, mismatched, or improperly sized equipment; existing ductwork, electrical systems, refrigerant lines, drains, platforms, structures, or other preexisting conditions; or damage caused by clogged drains or filters, corrosion, salt air, pests, water, weather, lightning, power surges, voltage problems, misuse, lack of maintenance, or work performed by others.
Labor, refrigerant, materials, shipping, crane service, permits, code corrections, and costs associated with diagnosing, removing, returning, replacing, or reinstalling defective customer-supplied equipment are not included unless the problem was directly caused by our covered workmanship.
The customer must promptly report any suspected warranty issue and allow Bishop Brothers Air Conditioning a reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct it. Any repair, alteration, adjustment, tampering, or other work performed on the installed system by the customer or an unauthorized third party without our prior written approval will void this labor warranty. Unauthorized third-party charges will not be reimbursed. A regular diagnostic charge may apply if the issue is not caused by covered workmanship.
This warranty provides corrective installation labor only and does not include maintenance, temporary cooling, lodging, loss of use, property loss, or other incidental expenses, except where required by law. No verbal modifications are valid.
ONE-YEAR LABOR WARRANTY – NEW INSTALLATION
Bishop Brothers Air Conditioning warrants its installation workmanship and covered labor for one (1) year from the date of substantial completion.
If a problem is confirmed to have been caused by our installation workmanship, we will correct the covered work without an additional labor charge. During the one-year warranty period, we will also provide labor to replace a defective equipment component when that component is approved and supplied under the manufacturer’s warranty.
Equipment and parts are covered solely under the applicable manufacturer’s written warranty. Manufacturer registration requirements, exclusions, limitations, and parts availability apply. This warranty does not extend or replace the manufacturer’s warranty.
This warranty does not cover routine maintenance, filters, drain cleaning, coil cleaning, additional refrigerant, shipping, crane service, permits, code corrections, cosmetic damage, normal wear, or existing ductwork, electrical systems, refrigerant lines, drains, platforms, structures, or other preexisting conditions. It also excludes damage caused by clogged filters or drains, corrosion, salt air, pests, water, weather, lightning, power surges, voltage problems, misuse, improper operation, lack of maintenance, or conditions outside our control.
The customer must promptly report suspected warranty issues and allow Bishop Brothers Air Conditioning a reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct them. Unauthorized repair, alteration, adjustment, tampering, or work performed on the system by the customer or another party without our prior written approval will void this warranty. Unauthorized third-party charges will not be reimbursed.
A regular diagnostic charge may apply if the reported issue is not caused by covered workmanship or a manufacturer-approved warranty failure. The customer must maintain the system according to manufacturer requirements. This warranty does not include temporary cooling, lodging, loss of use, property loss, business interruption, or other incidental expenses, except where required by law. No verbal modifications are valid.
90-DAY LIMITED COMPONENT REPAIR WARRANTY
Bishop Brothers Air Conditioning warrants the specific replacement component supplied and installed by us, together with the workmanship directly related to that repair, for ninety (90) days from the repair date.
If the covered component fails during this period because of a component defect or our workmanship, we will repair or replace that component without an additional parts or labor charge. Coverage applies only to the component specifically listed on the invoice and does not constitute a warranty on the entire HVAC system.
This warranty excludes unrelated or subsequent failures, customer-supplied parts, existing conditions, refrigerant, drain blockages, maintenance items, filters, corrosion, salt air, water, weather, lightning, power surges, voltage problems, misuse, lack of maintenance, and damage caused by other components or conditions outside our control.
The customer must promptly report the issue and allow us to inspect and correct it. Unauthorized repair, adjustment, tampering, or work performed by another party without our prior written approval will void this warranty. A diagnostic charge may apply if the reported issue is unrelated to the covered component or workmanship.
ONE-YEAR MAJOR COMPONENT REPAIR WARRANTY
Bishop Brothers Air Conditioning warrants the specific major replacement component supplied and installed by us, together with the workmanship directly related to that repair, for one (1) year from the repair date.
If the covered component fails during this period because of a component defect or our workmanship, we will repair or replace that component without an additional parts or labor charge, subject to the applicable manufacturer or distributor warranty. Coverage applies only to the major component specifically listed on the invoice and does not constitute a warranty on the remaining equipment or HVAC system.
This warranty excludes unrelated or subsequent failures, customer-supplied parts, existing conditions, additional refrigerant, shipping, crane or specialty access, permits, code corrections, maintenance items, corrosion, salt air, water, weather, lightning, power surges, voltage problems, misuse, lack of maintenance, and damage caused by another component or conditions outside our control.
The customer must promptly report the issue and allow us to inspect and correct it. Unauthorized repair, adjustment, tampering, or work performed by another party without our prior written approval will void this warranty. A diagnostic charge may apply if the reported issue is unrelated to the covered component or workmanship.
*See invoice for which warrant was included in your order. Some orders have no warranty. And the warranty only applies to your order if it is specifically included in your invoice.
