Before founding Bishop Brothers Air Conditioning, Adam and Jacob Bishop were on the other side of the service call—dealing with broken AC systems, waiting days for help, and wondering whom they could trust.
After building and selling a national retail business, the brothers developed multifamily apartment buildings and dozens of short-term rental properties across South Florida. Serving thousands of guests and tenants, they understood that keeping people comfortable wasn’t a small detail. It was a responsibility.
But finding dependable air conditioning service proved harder than it should have been. While they waited for help, their guests and tenants waited in the heat.
The brothers kept coming back to the same thought: “There has to be a better way.”
That frustration became the reason for starting Bishop Brothers Air Conditioning—with a commitment to deliver the expertise, communication, and care they had been looking for themselves.

Adam and Jacob’s experience with customer service began long before air conditioning.
Adam built a successful window-washing company in Michigan and went on to graduate from Michigan State University. Jacob launched a mobile detailing business while attending the University of Miami and later sold it. Together, they went on to found Soles Inc., a South Florida sportswear retailer. Both also attended executive education programs at Harvard Business School while growing their retail business.
Through their work in service, retail, and hospitality, they developed a belief that guides Bishop Brothers today: doing the work well matters, but so does how you treat the person counting on you.
That means listening, following through, and taking responsibility for the customer’s experience—not just the transaction.

Adam lives in Boca Raton, and Jacob lives in Delray Beach. Both are married, each with two young children, and are active in their communities and passionate about supporting their neighbors.
For our family, this business is personal. Our name is on it, and we want that name to stand for honest work, clear communication, and people who care.
